Listen To and Replace Node Recordings

  • PDF

You can add, listen to, and update recordings that play when a call passes through a Menu or Message node. There are also certain formats of audio files accepted. Click here to see a list of accepted audio formats.

Add a node recording

When uploading a new recording, make sure the file name has the file extension type at the end (e.g., welcome.mp3). If you upload a different file format (e.g., welcome.m4a), once uploaded, the audio will be converted to mp3 and the file name extension will also be updated to .mp3.

  1. From an IVR, click on a Message or Menu node.
  2. From the node menu, scroll down to the Message section. From the list, make sure Recording is selected.
  3. Under the Recording Used section, click Select Recording.
    • If there's an existing recording, click Update Recording.
  4. From the Recording Library window that appears, click Upload New Recording and select the recording from your local folder.
  5. The newly uploaded recording is highlighted to make it easier to find. Click the radio button to the left of the recording you just uploaded.
  6. Click Save. This will create a new "unpublished" version of the IVR.
  7. Click Publish to complete the update.
  8. Enter a short description of the changes you made, then click OK.
