Important product naming update: Sidekick is now called Gladly (AI) and Gladly Hero (the Platform) is now Gladly Team. Please keep this in mind as you read through our documentation.

Corso on App Platform Overview

Prev Next

Gladly’s Corso integration surfaces the customer’s Corso records directly on the Gladly Customer Profile: recent orders with their Green Shipping Protection status, return and warranty claims with per-item status and refunds, product registrations, and shipping claims with their outcomes. Team members can also file a shipping protection claim without leaving the Conversation.

Key benefits

See protection and claims instantly

The Corso card shows each recent order with whether Corso protects it, its return or warranty claim, its product registration and any shipping claim, each with its current state, live from Corso, on the profile. A team member sees at a glance whether a lost-package claim is possible and whether a refund is pending.

File a shipping claim in the Conversation

Team members pick the protected order, or one item on it, give the reason and what the customer said, and file the claim. Corso reviews it and resolves it as a refund or a reshipment, and the claim appears on the card, with no second system and no swivel-chair.

Claim safeguards built in

The form offers only orders Corso protects, so a claim on an unprotected order is never attempted. Corso allows one shipping claim per order, and the app shows Corso’s reason when a second is refused. An optional claim limit refuses claims on orders above a total the administrator sets.

Supported features

The Corso App Platform integration is available in the following areas of Gladly:

Gladly Team

The Corso card is available on the Customer Profile, and the File a shipping protection claim form is available from the Conversation’s compose menu. When a team member opens a Conversation, the app looks up the customer in Corso by email address and renders their orders, claims and registrations alongside the Conversation.

Corso is connected with a client ID and client secret entered in Gladly Settings.

Gladly AI

The claim action is available to Gladly AI, together with five lookups the card does not need a form for: an order by number, a claim by number, a registration by number, the shipping claims on an order, and the carrier tracking for an order. Each lookup returns only records under the email given.

Details

What data can you access

Corso card

  • Orders, newest first: order number, whether Corso protects it, order date and total; an order Corso has nothing on shows as not protected

  • Return and warranty claims: claim number, type and status, the order it is against, the items with reason and per-item status, refunds, gift cards or replacement orders, fees applied, the return shipping label, drop-off QR code and packing slip, return tracking, and Corso’s note to the customer

  • Product registrations: registration number, products, purchase date, where it was bought, linked warranty claims, proof of purchase and any discount codes issued

  • Shipping claims: reason, status and outcome (refund or reshipment order), the items claimed when the claim covers part of the order, the date filed and what the customer reported

  • Not linked to an order: claims and registrations whose order is not among the recent orders on the card

Available actions

  • File shipping protection claim: a claim on a protected order for all its items or one item, with a reason, notes, and whether Corso emails the customer

  • Look up order: find an order by email and order number, with items, total and protection status (available to Gladly AI)

  • Look up claim: find a return or warranty claim by its number (available to Gladly AI)

  • Look up registration: find a product registration by its number (available to Gladly AI)

  • Look up shipping claims: the shipping claims on an order and how each was resolved (available to Gladly AI)

  • Get order tracking: carrier, tracking number and status for an order’s shipments (available to Gladly AI)

How does customer matching work?

The app matches on the email addresses on the Gladly Customer Profile.

Up to three email addresses on the profile are looked up in Corso. For each, the card shows the customer’s return and warranty claims, product registrations, and the 10 most recent orders, with Corso’s records attached to the order they belong to. A claim or registration whose order is older than those 10 is listed under “Not linked to an order,” so nothing is hidden.

A customer with no Corso record shows an empty card, never an error. An administrator can choose to leave orders Corso is not involved in (not protected, no claim, no registration) off the card.

Key use cases

1. File a lost-package claim from the Conversation

Use case: A customer says their package never arrived.

How it works: The team member sees on the Corso card that the order is protected by Corso and that no claim has been filed. They open File a shipping protection claim, pick the order, choose Lost in transit, note what the customer said, and file it. Corso confirms the claim and it appears on the card under the order.

Business impact: The claim is filed in the first reply, with no hand-off to Corso’s dashboard and no risk of filing against an unprotected order.

2. Answer “where is my refund?” from the card

Use case: A customer returned an item and asks when the money arrives.

How it works: The team member opens the order’s return on the Corso card and reads the per-item status, the refund amount pending, and whether a return label was issued and scanned.

Business impact: Refund questions are answered without leaving the Conversation or asking the customer for a claim number.

3. Confirm a warranty registration

Use case: A caller quotes a product registration number and asks about a warranty claim.

How it works: The team member finds the registration on the card, with the product, purchase date, where it was bought, proof of purchase and any linked warranty claims. Gladly AI can look the registration up by number for a caller whose email is not yet on the profile.

Business impact: Warranty conversations start from Corso’s record rather than the customer’s memory.
