Set Up Klaviyo Integration

Before you start

Review the following information before you connect Klaviyo to Gladly.

  • Make sure you have Administrator access to your Klaviyo account. This is required to retrieve your Klaviyo Public API key.

Link Klaviyo to Gladly

From the Klaviyo dashboard:

  1. Go to Account.
  2. Click API Keys from the Settings menu.
  3. You will find your key in the section titled "Public API Key / Site ID." Take note of this ID as you will need to add this in Gladly.

Once you have the Klaviyo Public API Key, proceed to add Klaviyo in Gladly.

Add Klaviyo to Gladly

From the Apps page, click Add App > Klaviyo.

  1. From the Add New Klaviyo App page, enter the following information:
    • Name – Enter a name that will help you identify the Klaviyo instance.
    • Klaviyo Public Key – Enter the "Public API Key" from Klaviyo. This ensures that Gladly sends data to the correct Klaviyo instance.
    • Restricted Keywords (Optional) – Gladly notifies Klaviyo whenever a Conversation is opened or closed. You can block Gladly from sending updates to Klaviyo from specific email addresses based on restricted keywords. For example, adding 'example' as a restricted keyword will block forwarding all Conversation notifications from 'customer@example.com' to Klaviyo.
      • You can add multiple keywords separated by commas.
  2. Click Save App.

Set up Segments

Now that Klaviyo is linked to Gladly, you can begin building segments in Klaviyo where you can leverage Gladly events to manage automated communications.
