Contents of chat Conversations, and any Customer information provided during the course of helping your Customers are stored in Gladly. We recommend noting this fact and the purpose of such collection in your company’s Privacy Policy on your website and exposing this through the Sidekick Privacy Policy setting.
If your company is subject to GDPR or other privacy regulations, you will also need to:
- Obtain clear consent from Customers to have their information collected and used. This involves informing customers clearly of the exact purpose(s) their information is being collected for, and how it will be used; and
- Be able to delete a Customer’s information or Conversation history upon their request.
To help you comply with such regulations, Gladly allows you to:
- Automatically include a message (or messages) explicitly seeking a Customer’s consent (e.g., an automatically appended pre-chat disclaimer).
- You have the option to delete Customer information or interactions upon their request. See Data Subject Requests for more information.
