The Purple Dot app is set up from Gladly’s Settings, and no command-line tools are required. You will need a Purple Dot private API access token.
Step 1: Open the Apps settings
In Gladly, go to Settings > Apps. This is where you manage your App Platform integrations.
Step 2: Create a configuration
Click the Create Configuration button. When prompted for the External App, choose the Purple Dot app (gladly.com/purpledot/v1.0.0).

Step 3: Enter your Purple Dot access token
Enter your Private API Access Token. In Purple Dot, go to Settings > Integrations and scroll to the bottom of the page to find it. The token is sent as a single request header, and it is the only setting the app requires.
Step 4: Add your self-service order management page
Optional. Enter the page on your storefront where the Purple Dot self-service component is embedded. Team members use Get manage order link to look this up and share it, so customers can manage or cancel their own pre-orders. Leave it blank and the action reports that no link is configured.
Step 5: Set your refund guardrails
Optional, though recommended before your team issues custom-amount refunds:
Maximum single refund amount is the largest custom amount a team member may refund at once; until it is set, custom-amount refunds are blocked.
Approval threshold for custom refund amounts sets the amount above which a refund needs explicit approval. Leave it blank and every custom-amount refund needs approval.
Step 6: Save and add the card
Save the configuration, then add the Purple Dot card to the Customer Profile layout. Contact the Gladly Support team if you want help adding the card or actions to the Customer Profile layout.
