Check Conversation Timeline Event Timestamps

Prev Next

Hover over the date or time on the Conversation Timeline to see an event's exact date and time. For example, the image below shows Mar 17. Hovering over the date shows that Adam replied to the email on Mar 17, 2022, at 6:32 pm. The date/time appears for incoming and outgoing Contacts. Additionally, this works for Tasks and Notes as well.

You can also switch to always-on detailed timestamps

See Always Show Detailed Timestamps below.

The timestamp is based on the first message for a block of consecutive messages.

Chat conversation about order cancellation and refund processing details.

Always show detailed timestamps

By default, the Conversation Timeline shows relative timestamps (e.g., "2 hours ago") for recent messages, and you can hover over any date or time to see the exact date and time, as described above.

If you'd rather see full date-and-time stamps by default, without hovering, you can turn on Detailed Dates:

  1. Click your avatar/initials in the top-right corner of Gladly.

  2. Click Profile.

  3. Go to Detailed Dates.

  4. Toggle it on.

Toggle switch for detailed dates, showing full date and time for messages.

Once the toggle is selected, every message in the Conversation Timeline displays its full date and time instead of a relative timestamp – this applies to Tasks and Notes as well. Items from a previous year also include the year, so you can tell at a glance whether a message is from this year or an earlier one. Text message indicating cooking with gas, dated July 8, 2015.
