ADA Certification for Glad App

Glad App meets and complies with WCAG 2.0 AA standards but is also subject to your website's CSS and styling choices. Keep the following in mind as you customize Glad App.

  • ADA compliance – If your website is already ADA compliant, it's important to ensure you select colors in Glad App that are also ADA compliant. See the Glad App configuration to see what you can customize.

  • On-brand – We recommend selecting colors that complement your branding, text that reflects your audience, and a design that is ADA-compliant.

Use of colors

Gladly automatically chooses a color (black or white) for the Glad App icon/font based on ADA compliance. This means you may notice color combinations focusing on contrast rather than style, such as an orange background with black font.

As noted above, you can use CSS to customize font colors on Glad App, but this is not recommended as it may breach ADA compliance. If you set a custom color, we recommend checking it against contrast checkers, at the very least.
