Important product naming update: Sidekick is now called Gladly (AI) and Gladly Hero (the Platform) is now Gladly Team. Please keep this in mind as you read through our documentation.

Bubblehouse on App Platform Overview

Prev Next

Gladly's Bubblehouse integration puts the Customer's Bubblehouse loyalty record on the Gladly Customer Profile: points (available, pending and expiring), tier and progress to the next one, unused reward codes, recent activity and referrals. Team members can adjust points, redeem points for a discount code and undo a redemption without leaving the Conversation.

Key benefits

See the loyalty record instantly

The Bubblehouse loyalty card shows the customer's membership status, points available and pending, the next points expiry, their tier and the next tier, referral counts, unused reward codes and their five most recent loyalty activities, live from Bubblehouse, on the profile. A team member sees at a glance why points are missing or where a reward went.

Fix points in the Conversation

Team members add or remove points, turn points into a one-time discount code, and undo a redemption whose code was never used, all from forms in the Conversation. Each form works only on this customer's record and offers only the amounts the store's redemption rules allow.

Safeguards on anything that moves points

Adjusting and redeeming points are off until an administrator sets a limit for each. A request over the limit is refused, and every adjustment requires a reason, saved on the Bubblehouse record as a staff note.

Supported features

The Bubblehouse App Platform integration is available in the following areas of Gladly:

Gladly Team

The Bubblehouse loyalty card is available on the Customer Profile, and three agent forms are available from the Conversation through Agent Actions. When a team member opens a Conversation, the app looks up the customer in Bubblehouse by email address and renders their loyalty record alongside the Conversation.

Bubblehouse is connected with a shop slug and a shared secret entered in Gladly Settings.

Gladly AI

All six actions are available to Gladly AI, Team Assist and workflows, together with the full loyalty record: lifetime totals, the store's redemption rules, rewards catalog and ways to earn, and the status of each of the customer's referrals. Administrators choose which actions team members and Gladly AI can use in Agent Actions.

How does customer matching work?

The app matches on one email address on the Gladly Customer Profile.

Bubblehouse requires every identity field it is given to match, so the app looks up exactly one email: the profile's primary email, or the first other email if there is no primary. Bubblehouse cannot search by phone number. The card always shows the email it checked.

A customer with no Bubblehouse record under that email shows a short "No record" note on the card, never an error.

Key use cases

1. Answer "how many points do I have?"

Use case: A customer asks about their points balance or tier.

How it works: The team member reads the card: points available, what is still pending, when the next points expire, and how close the customer is to the next tier.

Business impact: Loyalty questions are answered from Bubblehouse's record without leaving the Conversation.

2. Restore missing points

Use case: A customer says an order, a review or a returned reward did not earn points.

How it works: The team member checks the card's recent activity, which lists each entry with its order number, then uses Adjust points to add the points back, with a reason recorded on the Bubblehouse record.

Business impact: The customer is made whole in one step, and the store keeps a record of why points were added.

3. Turn points into a discount code

Use case: A customer wants to use their points on their next order.

How it works: Redeem points for a discount code offers only the amounts the store's redemption rules allow and returns a one-time code to share with the customer. If the code is never used, Undo a redemption returns the points.

Business impact: Customers use their rewards, and a redemption made by mistake can be reversed.

4. Remove points after a refund

Use case: An order that earned points has been refunded.

How it works: The team member uses Adjust points to remove the points the order earned, with the refund as the reason.

Business impact: Points balances stay in line with what customers actually bought.
