We're updating help docs to reflect our new product naming. Gladly Sidekick (AI) is now called just Gladly, and Gladly Hero (the Platform) is now Gladly Team. Some articles may display outdated names while we update everything. Thank you for your patience! Learn more

Gladly automatically saves a new version each time you save changes to an App Action. This gives you a full history of changes and the ability to restore a previous version if needed.

Access Version History

To view the version history of an App Action:

  1. Open the App Action from Custom Actions page.

  2. Click the â‹® menu in the top right corner.

  3. Select Version history.

Menu options include version history, set as active, and duplicate features.

Viewing Past Versions

The Version history panel displays a list of all saved versions, ordered from most recent to oldest. Each entry shows the version number and the date and time it was saved. Click on any version to review its configuration.

Restoring a Previous Version

To restore a previous version:

  1. Open Version history from the â‹® menu.

  2. Select the version you want to restore.

  3. Click Restore.

The interface shows version history with a highlighted restore button for previous versions.

Restoring Previous Version

Restoring a previous version creates a new version rather than deleting the current one. Changes take effect immediately for all AI guides using this App Action. Test thoroughly after restoring to confirm the App Action behaves as expected.

Duplicating an App Action

The â‹® menu also includes a Duplicate option, which creates a copy of the current App Action. This is useful when you want to use an existing App Action as a starting point for a new one without modifying the original.Menu options including 'Duplicate', 'Set as active', and 'Version history' displayed.
