## **Before you start**

> [!WARNING]
> [ACTION REQUIRED] Ordergroove API Authentication Update
>
> Beginning September 24, 2025, Gladly is rolling out an update to how we connect to Ordergroove APIs.
>
> - All new Ordergroove apps will now use API Key authentication.
> - Both the new API Key method and the legacy HMAC method will be supported for the foreseeable future.
> - However, any Ordergroove apps installed before October 1, 2025 must follow the migration guide below to enable new Actions and upcoming features.

**Review Before You Migrate**

The guide below outlines how to migrate your existing Ordergroove App to the new authentication method.

The process is quick — it typically takes no more than 15 minutes and is fully self-serve.

If you are installing a brand new Ordergroove App instead, follow the instructions in [Set Up OrderGroove Integration](/docs/set-up-ordergroove-integration#before-you-start).

## Obtaining Ordergroove credentials

Follow [Obtaining Ordergroove credentials](/docs/set-up-ordergroove-integration#obtaining-ordergroove-credentials) to obtain Ordergroove Application Key required in the next step.

## **Update existing Ordergroove Configuration**

1. From the [Apps](https://help.gladly.com/docs/add-new-integration) page find your existing Ordergroove App and click “Edit”: ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7047b671-c4f2-4df0-bb0a-b9b511fd2452/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2025-09-23 at 00.10.22.png)
2. On the Ordergroove configuration page you will see the Legacy Authentication details disabled and a new field “Ordergroove API Key”.
3. Copy the Ordergroove Application Key obtained in the previous step and click “Save App” at the bottom of the page. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7047b671-c4f2-4df0-bb0a-b9b511fd2452/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2025-09-23 at 00.05.55.png)
4. Verify the migration by navigating to existing Customer with Subscriptions.

> [!WARNING]
> Reach out to Support for issues during migration
>
> If you run into issues or have concerns during migration, please contact Gladly Support. While you can’t revert to the old authentication method directly in the Admin UI, our Support team can assist you in restoring the previous setting if needed.

## Set up Actions

Once your migration is complete, take advantage of Ordergroove Actions by configuring them in your Ordergroove Settings. This allows you to unlock new capabilities and make the most of your integration.
