# Check 'Active' and 'Inactive' IVRs

IVRs in the IVR configuration page appear under the **Active** or **Inactive** tab.

## When IVRs are considered as 'Active'

As long as an IVR is associated with a [phone number](/docs/voice-phone-number-settings), it will appear in the Active tab. Otherwise, IVRs not associated with any phone number will automatically move to the Inactive tab.
