# Access the Answers Panel Within a Conversation

As an Agent, the Answers Panel is where you can quickly open and [find the Answer that you need](/docs/search-and-insert-answers-in-conversations) without leaving an active Conversation.

You can open the Answers Panel by doing the following:

1. Click ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7047b671-c4f2-4df0-bb0a-b9b511fd2452/Images/Documentation/answers-icon.svg) on the top right corner of the Conversation Timeline.   - You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + / (for Windows) or Cmd + / (for Mac).

## **Close the Answers Panel**

Click ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7047b671-c4f2-4df0-bb0a-b9b511fd2452/Images/Documentation/answers-icon.svg) again to close the Answers Panel. To hide the pane, hit **esc** on your keyword.
